| I think there was a prior post on this subject but after what happened today I need to ask. Got a Musky this morning on a Suick and the middle treble hook was buried deep under the fishes gill plate which did some damage to the fish. If I wouldn't of had the hook cutters I would have lost the fish which was my biggest worry. After I released the fish safely I continued to fish and intentionaly did not replace the middle hook I had to cut. Hooked another fish and it came unhooked as I grabbed for the net.
Question is: How many guys fish without the middle treble hook on jerk baits to avoid the mess and do you feel you lose a few more fish because of it or not? |

| All most all of the fish I catch on suicks T-bone the bait, so I would never fish them with out a middle hook. Keep a knipex in the boat and hope for the best. |

| I usually remove the third hook on 3 hook suicks. Just seems to be an eye poker. |
