Hi Everyone,

A buddy of mine picked up a couple dawgs (and some other stuff) the other day. With the leaders he has set up, the clips wont fit in the holes at the front of some of his baits. Is there any downside to putting a larger split ring on the lure so that the clips will fit?

I am not sure the correct terms for some of the stuff I am talking about above, so let me know if this makes any sense.
Thanks,
Matty

I put split rings on a number of my baits for just this reason. I haven't seen any negative effect to doing this.

I put split rings on the most of almost all of my personal baits. Most of my baits "for sale" baits have rings on the nose too.

I also agree to put them on baits, just like Suicks - I havent found a leader to fit on one yet with out a split ring.
