Posts: 1663 Location: Kodiak, AK | I'm putting together some muskie gear to have in my boat. I'm new to conventional gear, but am going to start carrying a convential rod and reel for days when wind is too much, or after 10 hrs of fly casting and my shoulder is killing me, or when my Dad comes to visit and can't bring his rods or whatever. I've got plenty of bags that would work great for storing baits, but I need the dividers for them. Does anyone know where I can get just the vertical dividers? R&H's has them available that will fit right into a 5 gallon bucket...has anyone used those? I need something of soft enough plastic that I can trim a bit to fit my exact needs. What about making them? I could do that, but don't even know where to start. I'm sure someone's done that before.... I've tried Google'ing it, but it's just too specific of a search, and I keep getting results for the whole tackle box, and not just the inserts.

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=40... I wrote about what Karol is talking about in this thread a few years ago. You will need a way to cut the stuff and by following what I wrote it should help you out. Check it out. Edited by muskie! nut 6/21/2009 10:49 PM

Posts: 1663 Location: Kodiak, AK | It is a good idea. I'll be heading to Home Depot this afternoon (no Menard's here) and see what I can find.

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | Just make sure you try to get the "cheapest" stuff you can find as it will most likely be the thinnest walled and therefore the lightest. Also like I posted in the link, if you use a table saw or a radial arm to cut the stuff, place the blade in backwards (use a cheap blade as the plastic will melt to it and its real hard to remove) to prevent chip outs at the end of the cuts. You may also want to make little cuts in the end of the tubes for the hooks to stay put. I normally just place a hook in one of the corners and they don't go anywhere. muskiewhored, don't worry about the glory until you get that 70 lber. ![]()

Location: Oswego, IL | I will be trying in two weeks! Lotw what possibilities I have there. I would be just fine 1 - 50+", but will love every minute of a mid 40, - 70lbs? yeah right highly unlikely for me.

Posts: 148 Location: Excelsior, MN | Esoxfly, Just a quick FYI - In addition to making the ClearView Tackle Boxes themselves, I am also making custom divider inserts for storage areas, etc. out of 1/8" clear polycarbonate (Lexan). If you are interested in discussing either call me at 888 401-8909 or send me an email at [email protected]. Bob Just Encase Products, Inc.
