Location: Oswego, IL | Well, the rod wasnt built to throw those baits, may want the Mag Dawg instead if thats what you are doing. I now have both rods as well. I wouldnt personally throw pounder on it, to answer your question. |

| The rod will handlethrowing a pounder with no problem. I use it for pounders often.

Location: Smith Creek | I wouldn't. Overloads the blank big time. You can exceed a rod's suggested lure rating by a few oz but doubling it is asking for trouble and possibly a voided warranty. |
