I will be heading up to fish there the last full week of June. I will be fishing primarily for musky, but will dabble for walleye, bass, panfish as well. i have not been on this lake before, but spent a bit of time looking at maps. on paper-looks like a few good spots. Wondering what else others can tell me about the lake. I think it looks like a stained water? i don't want anyone's secret's, just general info for fishing this lake in late June. Thanks in Advance for your replies.

Big St. isn't stained, but compared to previous years, the last few have shown cloudy water except for May and the beginning of June. What was once filled with Cabbage flats are now getting choked out by milfoil, or so I have noticed. Never the less, Big St. started out as my favorite musky lake, in fact, it's where I caught my first legal musky and got hooked on our sport, and it has remained one of my favorites - fish it at least once or more a year.

Here's an early June fish from last year on Big St.

St Germain is a great lake with very healty fish...some very big fish as well. some spots that are proven producers are the mouth of Content Lake, the mouth of Fawn Lake, Weed clumps off tip of the island, and shorline in front of boat landing.

Take some time and grab lunch or a beer at Fibber's Restaraunt. Rob Manthie and his wife own it. They have great food and nice atmoshphere and are ussually willing to point you in the right direction for some active fish.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm actually staying at the St Germain Lodge & Resort where Fibbers is located. Didn't realized he owned it.
