Well the wife and I got out Saturday and Sunday on St Clair for a few hours. Altho we didn't do diddly on Saturday we went 3 for 5 on Sunday with 4 of the five hookups coming on Lil Hounds in 16' of water. The 3 fish landed were all Juvies but still a lot of fun and the wife got her first one. However I will save the best for last. A friend of mine, Mark Steinert, from Ohio and a PMTT Angler caught and released this 52 incher on a perch pattern ST CLair Hound with gold blades. Shortly after this fish hit a second rod went off pulling a Skunk pattern St Clair Hound. His wife Dendra was unable to land Marks and fight the second. Here's a pic of Marks 52 incher.

Awesome fish! I heard of a lot of action over the opening weekend. I went out for my first time on the 10th. We stayed mostly in Anchor Bay thinking that the warmer water was where we had to be. It got up to 68* in some areas. Around Grass Island and the channels, we were in water that was only 55*. I guess it didn't help that the wind left and the sun came out. Still managed a 37"er, so I'm happy with that being my first time on the lake. Sounds like we should have been hitting that cooler,deeper water.

Water temp where we were on the Canadian side went from 62* in the morning to 68* in the late afternoon on Sunday after the sun came out.
