This question has probably been asked 1000 times on here, but using the search feature I was unable to locate any old threads.

My question is what is everyones fave bulldawg rod for throwing regular 'dawgs? Not interested in throwing pounders so just regular 'dawgs and super d's.

thanks!

My 7'6 XH Shimano Compre does a really good job of throwing regular dawgs and mag dawgs too.

For reg dawgs, I like the Slingblade - It can handle mags as well. I like the way the rod loads in the slow pull / retrieve. For ripping and hard popping regs & mags, I like either the St. Croix Big Dawg (XH) or the 8' HF Premier. The heavier action + faster tip really benefit you when working dawgs fast and abrupt.
