Location: SE Wisconsin | Only made it out yesterday, but was rewarded with a few fish. My wife Christie shined again with her second of the season. That puts her at 2 for 2 this season. . . I'm proud of her. Pics in the Pewaukee Reports thread and Okuma Contest. Other than that, nothing huge. Edited by Sam Ubl 5/10/2009 2:30 PM

Posts: 501 Location: Norway | Not musky, but Ive broken the 50" mark on pike here :), the 50" mark is atleast musky related :P Oh, and it was a boatside strike, was just about to kneel down for a fig 8, when she becme twice as wide, and my bait was gone. Posts: 501 Location: Norway | In this lake, yes. But its the only lake Ive experienced this. Ive actually had on on for 3 minutes, it didnt take, I gave up :D IT wasnt all to big anyway. Ive gotten a couple of 40"ers on fig 8 in that particular lake. Heres a headshot. Michael Edited by Pikopath 5/11/2009 1:24 AM Attachments ---------------- fifty.jpg (86KB - 123 downloads)

Posts: 501 Location: Norway | Thanks, I know that a fish that length will never be caught by me again or will it.... It was skinny, so no 30-40lbs monster. They have just spawned. And to add to the story, it was taken on one of my own baits that I made just for this fishing, 2-3feet of water, postspawn period, the lure was the prototype, and the epoxy wasnt even dry, but I had such confidence in this bait so I had to bring it with me, needless to say, after this and 20-25 other jacks, theres no more epoxy on it. It could easily have been 51", but the tail fin was really beat up, it for sure lack an inch, hm could have pinched it :P And to make the day go down in the history books, we also boated a 45", 46" and a 48". Now I am answering pm's (on norwegian forums) to folks who wants to buy my baits, its turining into a job and not a hobby... It toook quite early into the outing and I dont rig the hat cam before we have some action, but after this fish I was shocked and forgot the camera the rest of the day, I could atleast have had the other 3 on tape...note to self: IDIOT! Now I will have to go back to the US and get a 50" musky... Michael

Posts: 281 Location: ROckford IL | I had a great weekend on the Madison chain, we boated 5 fish on Mothers day including a personal best of 47.5, I got three of the 5 and my buddie steve boated 2. It was a incredible day on the water and we pretty much had the lake to our self's, only three other boats the whole time and one boat was just pan fishing. It payed off big to play hooky on mothers day and fish instead.
