Posts: 157 Location: Arlington Heights, IL | Hey Folks, Here are the final resultsl of the PMTT Fox Chain of Lakes Event. It was a tough bit out there as there were over 80 teams registered to fish but only 13 fish caught in total. Heavy down pours leading up to the tournament followed by beautiful blue skies and 70 degrees made for a very tough bite to say the least. Lakes were rising and water temps were dropping. Not to mention that it was pretty much the tail end of the spawn which turned them off even more. We will have a full press release up shortly with all the details. http://www.promusky.com/results/2009/09FC.htm Jim Stella Attachments ---------------- pmttfinal.jpg (97KB - 78 downloads) pmttfirst.jpg (71KB - 94 downloads)

congrats to the teams who found fish in their nets. it sounds like tough conditions with cool, turbid water high enough to make the chain no-wake.

Posts: 1636 | ManitouDan - 5/5/2009 3:19 PM man that place produces some seriously skinny fish. The tournament is usually held during or at the end of the spawn... of course they are going to be skinny... This one doesnt look so skinny...

Posts: 567 | whatever --the fish caught during this years event looked ..... etheopian. I saw Tom Dietz's fish and it looked the same as the 2 fish on this thread. Fish on most lakes IN GENERAL don't look like that --even after spawn. Edited by ManitouDan 5/5/2009 8:49 PM

right. when most fish in most lakes are in the middle of the spawn and that beat up they are usually fat and healthy looking. youre absolutely correct. they gorge themselves during the spawn.

Posts: 317 | I have seen, caught, or netted some seriously FAT fish from there. My old PMTT partner got a 49" that was all of 36-38# to win the FRV Challunge a few years back. Edited by MuskyStalker 5/5/2009 9:54 PM
