Toss up between Pewaukee & Okauchee to start. . . Both for sure.

Leaning towards starting on Okauchee, moving on to Pewaukee for the latter portion of the day. Maybe visa-versa on Sunday.

Me and Joel(tuff1) will be fishing the Pewaukee tournament. Hope we can rack up enough fish on Saturday so we can fish Okauchee on Sunday. Tournament ends Sunday around noon I believe. We will start on Pewaukee Sunday morning but hope to finish the afternoon on Okauchee.
This will be the first year I have not fished with my brother in over twenty years on the opener. Going to fish the opener seriously for a change instead of just partying all weekend. Wait a minute, fishing with Joel? Partying? Guess it will be the same after all. LOL

What??? Me have a "good time"??? I resemble that remark.

Looking forward to the guides day out. It'll be nice to not have to babysit as well. Just relax, hopefully put a few fish in the boat on Pewee, then go and try to slap a big girl in the keester on Okauchee.

Any thoughts on how fishing is going to be? I was going to fish Oconomowoc ubt last I heard there were still fish below the dam. Are these fish all going to be on the puke? What do you guys think the hottest spot is going to be. I have yet to decide if I should be on Oconomowoc, Okauchee, or Pewaukee. Allthough, the tournament on Pewaukee may push me elsewhere.

Any of the lakes will produce fish right now. Some fish are still spawning, some are done, some are probably pre spawn. Just gotta get out there and figure out which ones are eating. There will be fish caught on all of the lakes though.

As far as the tourny on Pewee, it's actually a club outing with the Milwaukee MI chapter and an IL club. Just for fun. I don't think it adds any more pressure than normal to Pewee as most of the guys would be fishing Pewee anyways.

Pick a lake you like fishing, and get'r done.

Without the intent of ridicule, where to start is something rarely answered by anyone who you'd want those answers from. . . That said, regarding fill up of the launches, yes, Okauchee does fill rather quickly, however, you can usually get on that water before the pleasure boaters start frequenting the lake. All things considered, their is always a chance GM is filled up, as well as the public launch, by fisherman. If you are looking to get on the water and avoid a lot of boating pressure, stick with your guns on Oconomowoc - as you know, ltd. access there, so again, you're gambling with the launch filling up. Pewaukee is great for access as there are at least 4 launch sites to pick from, however, with that comes more anglers.

Get out wherever you can and see what you can do. Your guess is as good as anyone elses as to what will be working and where the active fish will be since it's opening day, but rest assured, your odds on any of those lakes are equal.

This outing has always been on opening weekend from what I know. It's the quad county challenge. This is my first year fishing it, but Cap'n Koepp and I will have a good time for sure.

The classic is the following week if I'm not mistaken, but I can't remember off the top of my head (probably should have been listening at the meeting last night. lol)
