| If you wanted to put a stinger hook on a lure, may it be a tube, spinnerbait, whatever. How would you specifically do that? Not trebles only single hooks. Thanks!! Jake Heuer |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Use a stinger hook designed to fit over the barb on the main hook (larger than normal hook eye), and follow it up with a chunk of plastic tubing ur ruber tubing so the main hook barb keeps the stinger from coming off. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | The flies I tie with stingers are attached with 65-80 wire tied to the forward hook. If you use this method, you need to be sure to lay down the wire, wrap over it, and then bend or fold the wire back over itself and wrap over that, otherwise the thread will "settle" and get loose on the front hook just enough that you can pull the stinger out. I then cement it, and cover the whole affair in rubber tube. Sounds complicated, but it's not. I think I have pics at home I'll post later. |

Location: Mpls/St Paul Minnesota | I know you mention no treble hooks. I have used treble hooks on spinner baits for awhile now, cut one hook off that would sit on the bottom. The other two hooks come up and are a little wider. Still weedless and works like a champ.
I use a small piece of rubber then attach the hook and slip another piece of rubber after the hook. With the hook guarded by two pieces of rubber it has the freedom to swing back and forth. If you attach it to stiff the hook may get stuck sideways and away fromt the fish if a strike happens.
Just my 2 cents.
