Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | Hey guys, lets see some pictures of the stuff you bought at the MN Musky Show this weekend. I spent too much money, but had a great time. I don't have the time now, but will post a picture of what I got later. Let's see the loot! curleytail

Posts: 193 Location: Mayer, MN | I bought nothing. Except for some food from the concessions for my family and I. We had fun none the less. I was there to look at and handle the merchandise. I was the guy Sunday walking around with my 4 week old son, he must be a ladies man. Thanks for all the kinds comments about him, never too young to get them started. Thanks to the Castaic guys for letting my three year old daughter play in the tank with the bluegill bodied swimbait. Look out Lucky Libby, I'm raising Muskie Maddie. Saw Steve W. running around with camera in hand taking pictures. Thanks for all the work you do on this site! Great coverage of the event. Great venue and well done for a first year event. Drove around the campus one or twice until we found the venue and parking was easily attainable in the little lot north of the arena adjacent to the gas station. Looking forward to next years show. Hope to buy some things next year, I'm out of work and just couldn't spend this year. P.S. Was that Paul H.'s mother at the gate, that lady was an absolute sweetheart! She made us feel very welcome, it was like showing up at a favorite aunt and uncles house. Jason Roberts Mayer, MN

Posts: 193 Location: Mayer, MN | Oh and that Tuffy X190 is absolutely awesome. Words to describe it sitting on the trailer include: fast, sexy, sleek, efficient, intimidating, wicked, etc. The salesman was also very helpful in discussing the features and flexibility of the rear deck extension and passenger console. Thumbs up to him!

Posts: 646 Location: In a shack in the woods | The musky expo did give me one new problem. I can't stand my new rods up in the house. They are too long. The mi 8'6" is actually only about 4" shorter than the 9'. They have to lay in the closet for a while I guess.

Posts: 311 | My son made out like a bandit, 1) 4 hooded sweatshirts from Keyes, Musky Armour, Musky Mayhem, and Musky Buster. 2) 4 baby girls from Mayhem 3) 3 showgirls (Thanks a ton Carrie) 4) 1 jr. cowgirl 5) 1 walleye pro dawg 6) 1 custom bucktail that he made at the kids booth 7) 1 super cisco 8) 3 fastach leaders from Stealth (Thanks John) I worked the Lax booth all weekend, had a lot of "OOOOHS" and "AAAAHHHHS" over Brad Hoppe's "Musky chasing Whitefish" mount. And Jerry Sondag's HUGE "Bass eating Baby Mallards" mount with water splash. All in all it was a great show, but the parking was horrible. Big "THANKS" to the kids lure making booth.

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | The show was great, one of the best I've been to in awhile! Thanks for stopping by Joe, would've hooked you up with a hoodie too! Picked up a cisco colored Krisco, a nice Musky Armor hat, a Lakemaid Beer poster for the shop, some Hulbert bumpboards for Rollies, a few new holoform plastic 10"/8" Slammer minnows (nice looking lures for rowing), and scored some good sale-priced fill in baits at the swap. The economy has most industries in 'buyers market' mode, and this was no different. Tons of great deals. Wasn't fun working Tanners booth, was next to Mayhem, with Hoppe and his staff throwing stuff at me all weekend. Tanner sold out of his little creepers so I didn't have anything really dangerous to throw back. Talking to Dahlberg was pretty cool, might name him the 'mad scientist' of fishing. Definitely sparked a few ideas for me. Hartman pulled it off, congrats. JS

Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | Here's what I picked up. 1 Pounder, 2 Mag Dawgs, 2 11" Curly Sues, a Live Action Mo Joe, a large Hardhead, a Slammer 10" Deep Minnow, an 8" and 10" Slammer, and a Krisco. Lots of neat colors at the show. I'm going to attach a picture of the Slammer Deep Minnow by itself. Maybe it's just me, but I think that is the coolest looking color. The picture doesn't do it justice. There was some topwater and spinnerbaits/bucktails I would have liked to get also, but I spent my money too fast on what I have here. curleytail Attachments ---------------- 2009 MN show baits.jpg (256KB - 151 downloads) Slammer deep minnow.jpg (148KB - 145 downloads)
