Location: New London, Wisconsin | What's the difference between Stren Super Braid and Stren Sonic Braid? I've been told by more than one person that this is a great line to use because it's very easy to remove a backlash doe to the coating they put on the line. If true, I plan to put this on my daughter's reel. I've been using Power Pro and so has she. She does get a few more backlashes and they are a chore to get out of Power Pro.
Thanks,
Labs

| I only have experience with Stren Superbraid. I use 65 or 80lb test and love it. I changed over from Power Pro. I think it's better casting, rounder line and easier to tie knots with. Also it retains it's color without bleeding or fraying problems like some other lines. Not sure about the other Stren Sonic line you mentioned,, never tried that. |

NEW Stren® Sonic Braid™ is the VERY latest in Braided Fishing Line Technology. If you were a big fan of Super Braid™, you will ABSOLUTELY LOVE NEW SONIC BRAID™. Sonic Braid™ is a ROUND, full-bodied braid that resists wind knots, and has unmatched knot strength for long lasting dependability. Made with all NEW GLIDECOAT™ TECHNOLOGY, this super-smooth, faster/farther casting braided line lasts longer, and holds its color far better than the other line companies trying to compete for the top spot. NEW Stren® Sonic Braid™ has clearly left all wanna-be competitors in the dust!

Location: Irvine, KY | I used stren super braid for a while but made the switch to cortland spectron... backlashes are rare and when it happens its usually small. Id say 90% of the time I get it out before the lure hits bottom. Plus its a lot quieter on the retrieve. |
