I'm a new comer to NW Iowa musky fishing. Never done it! But looking into it. I know I can not fish the Okoboji's and Spirits, but it looks like a guy can fish all the others. What can someone tell me about them. Is it worth making a 2 hour drive to fish these small lakes. Anyone had any luck this early in the year? If you do not wish to post on here, you can email me at [email protected].
Thanks
shaley

Lakes are iced up yet, besides all the IGL's chain of lakes are closed to muskies.

Walleye is open and I asked the DNR about the muskies and was told no.

Other than the IGL's, all muskie lakes in Iowa are open as soon as the ice goes out. Clear Lake might be a good option for you.
