I was going to use treated plywood, 1/2 inch or 3/4. Could use some suggestions for a resin coating. Probably going to pull the old carpet and go right on top of the old floor. Just need to get a few more years out of her. Original floor goes under all the compartments, front deck, and don't really want to mess with it and end up doing a complete reconstruction. Any suggestions are welcome.

Treated plywood and resin won't work well, the resin won't adhere to it. I'd use 1/2" cdx plywood, completely coat the pre-cut piece of floor with resin both side and heavily on the end grain before installing. If you use treated, make sure the end grain is sealed with silicone sealant and make sure the carpet glue you are going to use will adhere.

Once you get the carpet off you will be able to tell what's up; it's possible you will only need to patch in a piece, I can help you if you'd like to call when you are ready. 715.362.1760.
