I will be moving to Chester County, Pennsylvania in August. Just wondering if there are any musky fishing opportunities within a 2 hour drive of Chester County? Can send me a PM if you like, thanks.

Send me a PM.

Susquehanna is very, very good. Some lakes, including Marsh Creek which is now stocked with Pures in addition to Tigers.

We have a very active Muskies Inc Chapter that formed a few years ago.

if you are interested in fishing the susquehanna you should get a hold of herb bloxom he is from there (now lives in pittsburgh area) and he can give you info on where to fish. i fished there with him and i have to say it is a great fishery. he is a member on here.

I'm from northwest pa, if your ever up this way look me up within 20 min of my house I have 2 rivers/creeks and 4 lakes that are top rated in our region. I mostly stick to the moving water but I am venturing into the flatwater a little more now-a-days. Good luck! Pa is a grossly underestimated musky state which is fine by me because that means more fish and less guys going for them.

Take care,

Jacob

Hey, I was on a business trip yesterday in Balt. Md. and had another client to visit in Lebenon Pa.
As I was driving up Interstate 83 I crossed the Susquanna River, just passed York Pa. That area of the river "Looked Fishy" ...... So is it a good area to chase some early summer muskies ??

I just got a contract to do some work in Glenn Bernie, Md for a few months, and Pa is only 2 hrs. away. Thanks ,

Jerome

The Susky is good musky water... and that area doesn't get much pressure from musky fisherman as most folks fish the river for smallmouths. Just a heads up though, the Susky is shallow. I highly recommend a jet motor. I moved to this area (Lebanon, PA) 10 years ago and this year will be the first that I've built up enough courage to launch my boat (19ft w/ 150hp) in that area. It can be done... just plan on dinging your prop/skeg a few times...and be careful!
P.S. By the time early summer comes around I will have a little more experience there. If you're insterested in jumping in my boat, let me know.

I know the potomac river isn't really in Pennsylvania, but it is very close. I will be moving right next to the potomac and I have herd it is a good musky fishery. Any one know a particular part of the river that holds a lot of muskies.                                                                                       Thanks!!

I worked at a waste water treatement plnt. back in 1978 as a contractor on the Potomac River in Wash D.C. area (night shift) At about 3:00am every night about 20-25 cement trucks would come into the plnt. and fill there trucks with Raw Sewage and leave... every night... Hhhmmmmmm..... I wonder where they were going ?
I was 20 yrs. old and was told to mind my business and do my job.

Are there muskies worth chasing on the Potomac River ?

jah1317,
You are probably close to the Tuning, and Conneaut lakes and the Shenango river.
And if you are you won't be far from Sharpesville Dam.
Am I getting close ?
