The wife wants a new boat. So I "guess" we gotta find something right?

The boat is picked out, Alumacraft Navigator 175CS. Now its just a matter of picking a motor and Im leaning towards the 115 either Merc or Yamaha. Im moving up from a 60 Mercury Tiller. Anyone have these motors, good bad or otherwise?

Also, new trolling motor, Ive always had a MK powerdrive. Would you recommend sticking with the electronic controls or are cable steers better and more reliable.

Thanks
Pedro

My buddy runs a 115 yamaha on his 17 foot Alumacraft Dominator and it's a really nice motor. You can troll with it nicely as well. His boat is rated for a 150 not sure if the Navigator is as well. If it is I would max out the horse power. As for a trolling motor I had owned a powerdrive in the past but switched last season to the Terrova and love it.
