does anyone like the okuma low profiles? They seem very low priced compared to shimanos. What are the best models?
Thanks

i've got a V-series Okuma baitcaster. it's a great reel, very smooth, but it's a bass reel and not really suited for larger muskie gear.

Mark Rogers indicated during his online chat a few weeks ago that Okuma is working on something comparable to the Curado or Revo, but they don't currently have a low-profile muskie reel.

you might take a look at the Okuma Induron 250 for a smaller sized round reel that's muskie-tough; i know of a few people who have used them with good success.
