| I've started dipping my lures in acrylic primer and I find it works really well in terms of coverage, but I just can't seem to get rid of the bubbles. Am I stirring too fast and too much? Other than sealing with E-tex or Nu-lustre prior to priming, is there any other way to prevent the bubbles from forming? Is there an easy way to remove them?

Location: Hugo, MN | Probably air bubbles escaping from the wood. You need to seal the wood first, then prime. |

| Thanks guys, I'm going to give polycrylic a try. But how about the bubbles on the primer as it's running off the lure? I was thinking a heat gun or hair dryer would dissipate them?

| sorry for the one-handed typing........i use barrier-coat by sherwin williams. it's a primer/sealer in one. on some woods i would get bubbles, so i would simply sand down any bad areas and dip again. started doing 3 dips because it's like painting on an egg shell. asked the rep about the bubbles, and he said it was just doing its job by penetrating the wood.

Location: Pigeon Forge TN. | Hey Beav,
What's the going price for the barrier coat now. years back it was $75 a bucket, last time I bought it the price was better than twice that.
Take care of the hands Beav.

Location: Verona, WI | For those of you guys using Createx what are you using for a primer that you dip in? Right now I am sealing the wood, coating with clear, and painting on that but I am curious about the dip.
