Posts: 229 | What does everyone think of Figure Eight lures? I was at the website http://www.figure8lurecompany.com/ and they have some large inlines on clearance and was wondering if it is worth it to buy some of these or of their other baits. The spinner baits actually look real nice as well. Let me know what everyone thinks. Thanks, John

Posts: 415 Location: madison wisconsin | I have a couple big mama's and a few spinners. They are great lures in my book. Have thrown the mamas quite often. I've hooked into some decent sized pike with the spinners, no skies (yet) though. I checked the clearance sale, seems like a heck of a deal!

Posts: 574 | I catch many fish every year on these baits. The Big Mama has put 40"+ fish in my boat each year I've had them. The spinnebaits are great early on as well, I got a few muskies early this year before they started eating the inlines. Big Mamas for $12 is a deal!

Posts: 727 | I have a big mama and for the money you can't beat it. I also have the spinnerbaits and for all the pike they've taken they are still running true.

Normally Big Mamas are $16.99 which is the lowest price you can find any double 10 bucktail for. $12 for a Big Mama...Jeeez. Better get some. Strange they would be the least expensive as they are built with better components than other companies use. Figure 8's Big Mamas are made with solid, not hollow, metal beads. The blades on the Big Mamas are lacquer finished. You won't find that on the other double 10s out there. Also, again, unlike the other available double 10s, the blades are silver plated...NOT nickel, and gold plated...NOT cheap brass. Their muskiecut skirts are NOT round which gives them great movement very similar to flashabou unlike the baits with round skirts which seem to bunch up and kill the action. Friends and I have caught many 50" plus fish on Figure 8 Lures. The largest I know of was a 55"X26" caught on a pink/purple Big Mama. Is it worth it to buy some of these baits? NAH! You better find some that are $25-$30 instead!

Posts: 124 | The first bite we ever had on a Figure 8 Double 13 was a forty pound plus fish that we had raised probably ten times in the past! Really like the solid brass body pieces which allow them to cast better. Great products for a fair price! Lee Tauchen http://www.leelures.com

Posts: 17 | Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Yes we do have some clearance deals going on for some non current color BigMamas. I don't think you can find a better price on a lure of this quality. Keep an eye out for some more clearance specials in the near future. We dropped a couple lures for 2009 and redesigned a couple so we might have more specials. For 2009 we redesigned the Enforcer and Big Daddy to make them more versatile for different situations. Take a look, I think you will like what you see.
