| Might be over there in a week or two to check things out. |

| There aren't any muskies in the Madison Chain...you better stay home. [;)] |
|
| |
|
| If there is no muskies in the Madison chain, then Cory Painter, Scott Jenkins and Travis Richardson must be catching pike.
I''ll have to go back and find some of those old photos, a few years back I caught a couple muskies (sorry pike) out of Wingra.[]
I was there three weeks ago out with Scott and Cory, boy they sure wasted my time if there are no muskies left anymore.[:p] |

| Jason,
My Dad called me last night all excited because he had just caught a 40" musky trolling on the Madison Chain. It was the same pattern from a couple of weeks ago when we caught four. It was his first trolling fish on his own. I was excited just talking to him. He was like a little kid - it was great!
Let me know when you are thinking of going and maybe we can hook up. |

| Jason: I've been meaning to follow up on my sarcastic post, hope I'm not too late. I've seen fish the last 4 times I've been out on Monona but mostly lookers. Only one that I had to unhook ~31" a week ago. All of my encounters have been on the weedlines. I haven't seen anything in deep water.
On Saturday, there were about a zillion panfishermen on the east side north of the rock pile. I thought about parking in the middle of them and casting a few cranks but I don't think I could have done a full cast without hitting one of them.
Waubesa was good in June but I haven't tried it lately. Wingra was pea soup a month ago and I haven't been back since.
Olin Park Launch will be closed Aug 31-Sept 2 for the Blues Festival.
Good luck.

| Going Monday afternoon. Won't do you any good for the weekend though.
Was out about 3 weeks ago from 7pm to 11pm then went on vacation. 1 big follow on a double eagle tail and 1 hit but lost after about 3 seconds on a baby raider.
I'll let you know how Monday goes.

| There is a report on the D&S Bait website of a 48" kept from the Olbrich Park area last w/e.[:((] |
|

|
| I saw that report. I am fuly CPR but to each his own I guess. It's his right to keep it if he wants. I just don't understand why. On the bright side, if there's one, there's gotta be more.
Good Luck and Be Safe,

| Yes your are correct...last year a 48-49 incher was caught on jig and minnow about this time and was killed...now it is on display at D&S bait. (Note: D&S Bait offered to get it mounted after the guy got his pics and was basically going to dump the fish).
Haven't been out since I have been getting ready for Lac Seul (leave thurs). But....from what I hear it has been slow over all..Waubesa is still dirty but monona is getting a little clearer.

| A guy I work with went to Wingra last week when it was raining. He caught a 37" and a 34" both on a yellow baby Hawg-Wobbler. He said he had a bunch of follows and blow ups on it as well.
Hopefully this can help a little bit for ya!
