Posts: 2024 | For guys that use or have used this set-up, does the weight of the knob on the power handle cause the reel to inadvertently engage mid-cast? Do you need any extra pieces of hardware to install one? Thanks!

i've got a 401TE with the Trinidad handle, and it's engaged on me once in a great while, but very rarely. the advantages of the power handle are worth the slight bother of checking before casting to make sure the knob is down and not up.

Exactly! I couldn't agree more. Only I have the 400TE with the 700B handle, WBTW will fit the Luna300 too. Chas Edited by Chas 1/17/2009 4:59 PM

hasn't happened to me at all...if you are going to buy a TE, spend the extra 35 and get the Trinidad power handle...it fits with no other parts needed

Why would you change the handle at all. I have no problem with the ones that are on the reels? Curious?

Posts: 2024 | Simple physics. Large power handle with longer arm than traditional double-paddle handle creates increased torque which equates to more power and makes it easier to crank. Therefore, it makes reeling in high-resistance baits (i.e. double 10s/13s) easier.
