Random quote: Muskies are nasty. They stink. They taste bad. They are hard to catch and will disappoint even the most devoted angler. The lures required cost more than some women's jewelry. The rods and reels require a remortgage of the house. The boat is always worth more than the tow vehicle. Sure beats the hell out of golf.

Are there any larger molds or do you have to make your own?

There's several molds out there, yes. Do It has a few, I think.

Hey mercmech,

Do you make those jig heads or buy them from a distributor? I really like the weed guard!

We designed the jigs, with the weedgaurd and the Mustad 10/0 saltwater hook for sure strength. We sales marked them due to the 3D eyes and head design. If you want some untied let me know I sell untied spinnerbait heads and jigs direct.

Ok we can work something out, shoot me an e-mail and we can work out the details. They do come to you painted and lacquer coated with 3D eyes. The color options are chart/lime, black/yellow, silver/white, black/orange, black, black/red [email protected] our on-line store will hopefully be available in March.

Do-It has several good molds for making musky size jigs. www.do-itmolds.com

I'm not sure what type of jig you are trying to make (swim, creature, weedless, shad head, etc.) but here are a few to check out that come in bigger sizes and handle heavy hooks.

Banana
Bullet Nose
Erie
Style "H"
Ultra Minnow
Round head
Style 9 Shad head
Heavy Duty Stand-up

Weedless Brush Jig
Weedless Poison tail

Depending on what you want to do I can make a few suggestions on molds or hook sizes. I fish jigs a lot!

PM me.

I don't have the ability to pour my own jigs. I'd like to have some jigs poured on the Doit Bullet Nose and Style 9 Shad head using the 7/0 Owner 5319 XXX jig hook. Most likely in 1/2 and 3/4 oz sizes. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get these jigs made up? Thanks - John
