We worked hard all day, got up at 3:30 and on the water by about 4:00. I caught the first fish 36 1/2" at about 5:30 A.M. the second fish did not come until 10:05 A.M. The weather was a b!tch, hot, hot hot!!!
We took a break and went in for some lunch at about 12:30. Tried to take a nap but Slamr decided to call me on my cell phone and woke me up (THANKS SLAMR)!!![:(] We got back on the water at about 3:45, oh ya did I mention that we took time out to take a dip in the pool to cool off right before going back on the water!!!!![:sun:]
We moved a lot of fish, just couldn't get them to go. They wouldn't even fall to the pattend Florio figure eight. I had at least 6 quality fish go around 6 to 8 times and just would not eat. I lost a 38" right before we got off the water, she came out of nowhere and slammed my bait at the boat. I set hooks but could only go straight up and she shook her head and was gone!!!!!!! [:blackeye:]
Oh well I guess it was good enough to get us into the next round.[:)]
The only thing I can tell you without giving up any of my secrets is to "KEEP YOUR BAIT IN THE WATER"
