interesting thought, guest. I think you have a point, as goals should be attainable through effort, HOWEVER a lot of the fun of musky fishing is because things are out of our control. If we set goals that are all controllable we may catch more fish, but those goals are not very exciting. "Throwing DCGs for 100 hours" is not a goal that i necessarily look forward to, but i will do it in order to catch some muskies. Really, when it comes down to it, the stuff that keeps us on the water is out of our control. Catching muskies, watching sunsets/sunrises, seeing a huge wake follow a weagle, are all ultimately out of our control, but that is why we fish. i suppose setting controllable goals just doesn't do musky fishing justice and doesn't make it any more fun. Just a thought.

Get my kids out on the boat and get them fishing. 4 and 5 should be a good start. Would like to have a fish T-bone a topwater and come completely out of the water and be video taping at the time too

I am with Mike's Goal number 1 is to find a Job, and that will probably have the most impact on what next year becomes. 1/2 million lost jobs last month(34 year high) and we still are not at the bottom.

1- Back to Eagle
2-Hopefully getting the son into the boat more often.
3-Fish 4-5 new lakes
4-Down size basment tackle box

Didn't you forget something, like get the boat running!!! Also if your planning to fish 1000 hours then I assume your quitting around August right cause you and I both know we fished over 1000 hours by the time August hit in 2008

More figure 8 fish, learn lake x better. More night fishing, and hopefully some flyfishing! I'd like to find more fishing partners too.
