Location: Kronenwetter, WI | I'm trying to track down some possibilities for lodging near Morson on LOTW...stayed at RWL couple years back and am looking to see what other comperable resorts are in that same area.
I know there are a few on Hanson Bay...New Moon Lodge...
If anyone knows other places in that area, please post.

| Sabaskong Bay Lodge. It's on Cedar Island. Depending on your boat, it's a 10--20 minute ride from Morson Marina. Great people run it, and they have really nice facilities, and protected docking. We had a couple outings up there, and everyone had a grat time. Mauser caught like 8 off the shore! |

| Sabaskong Bay Lodge, Mylie's Place (Hanson Bay), Buena Vista (Hanson Bay), Tamarack Lodge (near or in Basil Channel), Grassy Narrows Lodge (Miles Bay... there's another up there, but don't know the name of it off the top of my head), Reel-Em-In Lodge (west central Sab Bay), Split Rock Lodge (closer to Nestor Falls), King's Island, Obabikon Bay Resort, and I think there's one on Pine Island (where the Fargo-Moorhead chapter stayed this summer).
We've stayed at Buena Vista for the past three years and love it. Prices are VERY affordable. Staff is great. Slips are good. Nice and sheltered. Cabins are plenty big. Hope this helps. |

Location: Grinnell, Iowa | Another one up by Grassy Narrows is Hidden Island. It reopened last year under new ownership. The new owners are great and have done alot of work on that old place. Very reasonable rates as well. The have a web site if you want to check them out; just google Hidden Island. |

Location: Milwaukee, WI | Duck Bay Lodge on Hay Island. Very close (~2miles) to the Turtle Portage so its possible to do a day trip into Whitefish Bay. |

Miles Bay Camp
Spruce Island, about as close to the middle of the lake as you can get.
Bell island outpost, might be hard to find contact info for this one.
Spruce and Bell island are both quite a way from Morson, but worth a look. |

| Mylie's Place is very clean, reasonably priced and great people to deal with. Red Wing will nickel and dime you to death. |

| Esox50 mentioned Obabikon Bay Camp... I really believe they have one of the best, if not the best central muskie locations on LOTW. They are a short trip from the western part of Sabaskong Bay with Burrow a short distance... Then they are also a short distance to Miles Bay which, in my opinion, is a very under-rated area for Muskies on LOTW. Plus there are several good spots in Obabikon itself, including the dock at the resort. Its American Plan only I belive, but is very competitive in terms of cost with pretty much any other AP resort. When I stayed there a few times back in the late 90's/early 2000's the management was a little on the rude side, but I think the owners took back over managing the resort and heard its improved. Anyway, that would be my hands-down choice if I were to return to LOTW.

| Something to think about. You can rent a house boat at morson marina from stu at wilderness houseboat rentals and set up camp where ever you want. have done this a dozen time or so and it is one of the best things I have ever done. If gas prices stay down I will be doing again next year. |

Location: coon rapids mn | another vote for myliesplace i have stayed at all 3 drive to resorts redwing buena vista and myliesplace all are ok but if i had to choose 1 it would be myliesplace justin is spending alot of time on the water now muskie fishing and is a big help theres other guys that have seasonals that have helped me out alot with travel routes and seasonal locations and current fishing conditions modern cabins kept up well familly run |

| I stayed at Duck Bay Resort on Hay Island in August.
Facilities were first rate - great hosts. Food was phenomenal. Staff was extremely professional. You are met in Morson and led to the resoort if you bring your boat.
Can't say enough good things about this place.
