Hey All,

I was wondering if you guys can offer some insight into the pros / cons of a Bigfoot vs. standard Mercs (i.e. does it have faster holeshot and top end but not as good with trolling, etc.)?

I'm looking at 40hp-50hp as well as perhaps a 40hp Bigfoot vs. 50hp standard.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Todd

The big foot edition has a different lower unit and gearing. Its made to push heavy boats like pontoons. Its not made for speed. Alot of the kickers prior to pro kicker were big foots cause they could troll slower. Your dealer should be able to explain this

Thanks for that. Actually, per the "dealer", one has to consider perhaps "wheeler dealer"
