| Has anyone used the Cabela's Depth Master Gold line counter reel's?
If so, are they any good? |

| Never used them....but Okama's are good for ski's. But dont try them with Salmon. The big kings burn the line counters out too fast and they dont work after that...trust me.
Diawa makes the best line counter from what I have been told, and it will hold up for fishing Kings too. |

| I’ve had two since last year. So far they work nice, smooth drag, and the digital counter works good. I think if you buy two reels at once they give you a discount. I have mine matched with St.Croix Pro Glass 8’ MH trolling rods. The combos are pretty versatile for me; I can troll big musky lures or use bottom bouncers for walleye. |

| Ditto w/ what NWR said...I got 2 Diawas + no probs...hardest thing to remember is the amount of line already out from reel to rod tip![:sun:] |

| "STAY AWAY" from any "cabelas" brand reels!!!! I dont know if its the same model but at the wisc cabelas they had about a hundred line counter cabelas reels in the bargain cave,,reels that make it to the bargain cave are the same thing has saying trouble |

| Yes, as happy hooker said along with silver corsiars there were thousands of cabelas line counter reel at the prarpie du chien cabelas...they really need to get their act together before the whole world finds out that they don't know how to make reels that work for more than one cast |

| I picked up a couple of the combo's and tried them out last night for the first time. No fish on them but the were real smooth. I fished with a guy that use's Diawa line counters and he liked them to. We'll put them to the test this weekend on some Salmon. |

| I love my okuma 20dx reels. I had diawas and they are nice but the okuma is more compact and cheaper.
As far as the cabelas mechanical line counter it is an okuma. Not sure what the lcd reel is but have shied away from them because I am not sure how they will be when the temp is in the 20's and 30's. |
