Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | Will it be possible to land a Monster at the P.I. Fall Trophy outing, and a Trophy at the Vermilion Fall Monster outing? Or is it strictly trophies in WI and monsters in MN? Is a monster always a trophy? Does a trophy have to be a monster? Are the two interchangable? Seriously. Is there a difference between the two? Kevin I'd choose P.I. if I could.

Is there a difference between the two? genetics! Of the fish, or the fisherpersons? Are WI fisherpersons more genetically inclined to call a fish a trophy or monster than MN fisherpersons? Kevin I'm in a pondering mood.

Location: Athens, Ohio | I'd say a 'trophy' is anything you want it to be! If it is special for you, it's a trophy catch. I have a pinewood derby Trophy that's just a little bitty cup on a stand, but it is special. Monsters are typically something so grotesque (as in size) that they are out of the norm. (Normal, not N. Wild). You could conceivably get both in the same fish, so do it, dude! Have a blast up there and remember, some men fish all their lives before they realize it wasn't just about the fish. m

Posts: 8856 | Kev, there's lots of 35" trophys in WI, I see them everywhere. But I've never seen a monster there. Well except that thing hanging over the fireplace at skyview. Which in fact is more of an abomination. (seriously, anybody seen that thing?) I see a lot of pictures of monsters coming out of MN as of late, but I think most of those are released and never become trophies. I thibnk what I'm trying to say is: a monster can be a trophy, and a trophy can be a monster, but not all trophies are monstors and not all monsters are trophies! Which reminds me... Did it bug anyone else when they were kids that cookie monster never seemed to actually eat all those cookies? As always, your post leaves me with more questions than answers, Kevin.

It wasn't ever easy for him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N7jjnOMWlE&feature=related But yes, he did go back to his addictions in a bad way I'm sad to say: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Rjk31KzyGk&feature=related

| Lots of monsters in WI, and way more fishing options, dont all have to fish the same waters as you do in alot of MN. | |||

| Lets not miss the boat on the post here and turn this into a WI vs. MN debater. We all know the Packers won the first game, it has been settled for now. | |||
