Posts: 294 Location: Bloomer, Wi | My 101 foot controlled motor is only running like half speed whenI put it on 100%. All three batteries read charged, I checked with a charger after my onboard charger said they were good. I have not touched any ofthe wiring since a buddy and I installed it back in July and it worked great then. The only thing I have done was I had to hook up my big motor to one of them twice in one day just to get the big motor started then as soon as the motor started I just switched the wires back. I dont know if that would hurt it or not. Looking for advice, thanks

| Check your voltage at the trolling motor plug. Bet your not getting 36volts. | |||

Posts: 223 Location: Minn. | I had a similar problem earlier this summer . One of my new batteries was dead. Took it back and got a replacement. It was still under warranty

Posts: 294 Location: Bloomer, Wi | All the batterys are under warranty I bought them all at the start of the season. The on board charger said it they were charged. Now I should state that I only have a 2 bank charger and hae periodically thrown the regular charger on the other battery.(probably stupid on my part) But everytime I put it on the charger it said charged allready. Is there a way these could all charge being that they are all hooked together? I honestly dont know that much about electrical stuff.

Posts: 223 Location: Minn. | I would get a voltmeter to check voltage. I bought a Voltmeter from Radio Shack for about $25.00. If one battery is low it will drain the other two , untill they are equal. If one is dead, you are only running on 24 volts instead of 36. On 24volts it runs at about 50% and didn't last very long on the 101. Also you may want to check the positive to negative conections after you jump your motor. I see you are from Bloomer, which lakes do guide? My sister and brother-in law live there. My personal best 52"er came from a small lake north of Bloomer.

Posts: 726 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Hey Joe, you're part way there....you still don't know if the batt was junk to begin with or if there is something wrong with the charging system to make it that way. You may have only treated the symptom, not the cause. Time will tell. Since I don't have the full picture its just my guess as to your specific situation but if it were me, I'd be paying attention going forward. Might not show up until next year. Good luck! Jono
