I'm on the water with the Rumbleknot gents and Slamr, looking to hit at least three and maybe even four lakes.

Got ma a box in the US Mail today with some pretty cool Mojo baits. The Muskies will be looking at a new Weagle and Wabull, and what I was REALLY looking forward to, a couple Baby Wabulls. Add a couple couple XXs from the box and some Tacklebooty plastics and cranks and I'm ready to rock. Baldy, you are the MAN getting those Mojo baits to me this week!!

Where you headed this weekend?

my wife and i are heading up to Presque Isle for a fall colors weekend.
we're staying at Carlin Lk Lodge where we'll also have a fish fry on Friday night and Prime Rib on Saturday night.
and oh yeah, almost forgot, the best fall color perspective is from the water where we'll be fishing muskies!

Sled - I was thinking that North cabbage bay leading into a mini basin would be a fantastic place...fish the rock-weed transition breaks out deep. During our kids/sucker weekend Oct 25th-26th - I'll be spending a good amount of time there.

I'll be soaking some suckers in the same vicinity of Sworrall and that crew. Hitting a couple lakes I spent some time on this summer getting to know in hopes of doing some fall fishing. Hopefully I can put a fish or two in the Tuffy.

Not exactly this weekend, but headed for Vilas CTY on Wednesday evening for 5 days of musky hunting. Camping on Trout Lake and planning to hit 5-6 lakes.

Should be able to get 6 hours or so out on Green Bay this weekend with a little luck. Promised my son a shot at a Chinook on Monday night, so a couple hours out then also.

In front of the computer making videos to capture this year's fish'n highlights. Oh and watching the nasty rain outside my window and seeing the snow on the mountain tops. First big front of the season as the mountains are expecting 1-2' of snow.

Then will be watching TV to see if the Cubbies can pull out a miracle.

woo..i'm sitting here in a quality inn in charlotte, north-freaking-carolina. Probably 400 miles from the furthest south musky....makes me sad.

Actually, in Charlotte you are about an hour and a half from a lake that has spit out a 41lb fish.

http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=TSHA,TS...

Now that I think about it, you are actually closer to a lake in Charlotte NC than I am in Iowa. What a terrible predicament you are in.

well i'll be dipped....we are actually going to be about 8 miles from there on the way home from here! the wife won't let me fish t hough....she wants to see The Biltmore Estate on the way home. Maybe I can talk her into one or two casts from my travel rod.....just to say i tried...hehe..

So that has GOT to be the furthest south musky lake, right???

thats too bad that you are that far away from a "home" lake! how do you support your habit???

I support it by having a very understanding wife. She let me go on the Vermilion outing this summer and Southern Missouri this Spring. I have been gone the last 4 weekends for 1-3 days at a time and numerous other destinations throughout the summer.
