Location: north central wisconsin | While on a trip to MN last week and on a day or 2 stop at detroit lakes on the way north, a ups truck driver left a note on my boat trailer telling me that the bearings were squeeking. Was worried as we had a long drive to the rest of our fishing trip and then home. A few people there told me to call DL marine. I was told to bring it in the next morning upon calling. He said he may have to order parts overnight from Ranger, but should be able to fix. Went back in the afternoon, trailer was sitting outside and he was just making up work order. He said good news and bad... bad was that it was brakes not bearings and they had no parts available. Good news was a buddy down the road was a welder and welded up the parts on my trailer and it was good to go. I got out of there very innexpensively(a rarety for me and marinas in those types of situations), and was very happy with the service I recieved there.
I don't normally start many threads, but thought appropriate to give a public thanks to Steve at DL marine for his honesty, and tell anyone here in that area, or who might be travelling through and in need of service, accessories or parts, to stop in at DL marine. They sure have my respect.
