only a couple hours on the water for me this weekend, with nothing to show for it in my net. i did manage to capture this nice "photo essay" of Troy Schoonover (Bytor) catching and releasing a 40"er while i was fishing nearby. Posts: 294 Location: Bloomer, Wi | Took my brother out for his birthday trying to get him a "birthday musky" He had 2 oppertunitys the 1st one he should of had it some how just shook the topraider bout half way to the boat the other gave a couple headshakes after the strike and got off too. He did manage a 31" pike while casting the topraider through a no- wake zone as I was driving us through the channel.

Posts: 103 | Fished Saturday and Sunday and had 3 follows and lost one at the boat. Two of the three follows and the lost fish all came in a ten minnute period right at moon rise tonight. Ive hooked 3 fish this week and weekend and lost all 3 right at the boat. Hopefully I will break my slump this week.

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | Took the family camping this weekend and fished for perch and walleyes; unfortunately (and previously unbeknownst to me) also during a walleye tournament. I did some night fishing - which I hate. But it tends to peeve the local tournament 'pros' that someone is out sore-mouthing their fish while they are sequestered to shore. I also get kind of a kick out of hauling a net-load of fish to the cleaning station about 30 feet from their weigh-in... We ended up getting a good bunch of fish and we had a great time. I'll be looking forward to getting back to fishing muskies though. S.

Posts: 89 | B.Mirro reporting in after a Thursday to Saturday trip on prime trophy MN water. Didn't see 1 musky, so obviously no follows or strikes. topwater, big bladed spinnerbaits, bulging musky maribou by mepps. , couple jerkbaits thrown in. Found some nice neon green coontail that I marked with my new 595C, will return to said coontail with plan B this weekend. Had a great time and now am slowly developing some definition in my arms after 22 years of lazy walleye fishing

Posts: 1636 | Looks like it was a good weekend to be on the water. We had rain, rain, and more rain here in Illinois, but it was well worth it when we put a fiddy in the net. Can't wait for the Shelbyville tournament Edited by Reelwise 9/15/2008 11:58 AM

Location: Twin Cities | Got a 43 on a topwater, missed two other fish that were upper 40's. One followed 8 times, wouldn't bite though. He had a fresh white chunk of tissue hanging out of his mouth like he'd be caught very recently. I'll have to get a pic of the one I did catch, he was missing a HUGE piece of his gill plate, not sure what happened to him!
