Location: Boulder Junction | From time to time on ebay I have seen Perchbaits for sale in a very realistic walleye pattern that is similar to the Rapala walleye pattern shad rap. Does anyone know who does this painting? Out east somewhere maybe? I appreciate any leads. Thanks

Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Thanks Swede for the kind words. You would laugh at the paint brush that I use!LOL It is a 30 dollar 10 year old used one. I did buy an Iwata but I like my old off brand model that is patched together. The Iwata is an incredible brush............. the details with it are incredible. I am just not ready for the Iwata yet. I am still a plug in bottle painter for now! LOL Those legend bait are just plain sexy baits. I love their profiles and shapes. Truly an icon in the musky bait world. It is a treat when I get to paint one. I have got to paint some Legends for Mr. Morton in the past. A great person to deal with! Posts: 4266 | Come on Tigger! If you aren't going to try, why bother painting at all? Awesome as usual. PS, pike like your Shad, but no skis yet. Beav

Location: Boulder Junction | Tigger, you know I love your work - top shelf!! BTW I got a 25" walleye rowing that bait last Saturday - looked like a mouth full for him. That cisco is the hottest thing I have going this year. I can't wait to get those new ones your doing they look flawless as usual. Thanks to all for the info on painters. I think I found the guy who does the realistic walleye pattern I am looking for. | ||

Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Hey John I am glad the cisco has been working for you! A 25" walleye hit that thing! Incredible. If I remember right you row troll up there. Hey Beaver I hope all is well with you my friend. I am glad you have been using the lure. Those dang pike will hit anything! I had to take a little sabatical from the lures for a while. I couldn't even stand to look at one. The shorter days are making it easier to get back into building lures again soon. Posts: 378 Location: Michigan | As agarafalo pointed out Ziggie, of Marine City Michigan does arguably one of the best walleye patterns I have seen... He also has a TON of other great colors. He just finished up a bunch of baits for me. He builds his own trolling baits, but he also paints by the inch... Check him out. Super guy, and awsome paint.
