| Just and FYI, for the most part Federal Regulation prohibit any "souping up" of newer outboards so any inspectin that found mods could lead to a pretty significant fine......sorry I personally am all for going faster. |

Location: davis,IL | Yea, I'm aware of the law but I have a little dilema. The lake I live on is horsepower restricted (75hp total), situations only see me on those waters maybe ten days a year anymore, while I'm fishing some big Canadian waters 3 weeks a year. If they change the rules on my home lake that allows me to repower with a 115, and add a kicker that I could run here at home all would be good. But as it stands I stuck with my 75, don't get me wrong, it's a great motor but a little more speed up north would be the ticket. I know that the difference between my 75 and a 90 is just carbs, but try and find some out there that don't cost an arm and a leg($1600 new). I was just hoping that somebody out there maybe had some parts they were willing to sell for a decent price or some great idea's. |

with any internal changes to the motor, you'd be spending some big $$ for a gain of maybe 3mph. I have a 90 2 stroke and have put in carbon reeds, high performance head, and the exhaust tuner...all for a gain of 3 to maybe 4 mph depending on conditions outside.
If anything, you might gain some speed with motor height adjustment, prop change, etc. that might get you a little better...but I would not expect much. Certain props can make a boat come alive rather than being a dawg...
Test and see...

| Nitrous will do wonders for a narually aspirated motor! No need to direct inject, either. Just a spray under the cowl will do. It will find it's way to the intake! |

This has already been tried down south on a resricted lake several years ago.You must bring the title to the motor to have the serial# number checked now.
