| 2008 has been just an incredible year for myself and others who have fished with me. It continued to be better last night as I was fishing in the rain and managed to boat my personal best (longest) 53.5" muskie. This one is not nearly as fat as the 52" I got on Vermillion last year, but still a great fish. I took my neighbor out fishing with me after getting some work done around the house. He has only been fishing for muskie one other time in his life and that was with me. Needless to say he struggled with the net job and got hooks caught on the rim of the net so I needed to land it by hand. Upon picking it up I knew I had a big fish. I hate keeping fish out of the water so I immediately just cut my hooks and placed the fish back in the net and in the water while I got the bump board ready and took the camera out. The fish swam away to see another day and hopefully I can find him again in Oct. when he fills out a little more. This fish just adds to the incredible year I have had. Well over 50 fish in my boat this year over 40" and 5 people, including myself have caught their personal bests on the the Tuffy! I attached a pic of my fish as well as my dads PB 47". Ironically I have had him out twice this summer and both times he nailed a 47"! Nice Job Tony! Congrats on catching some really big muskies. 2008 has been the "year of giants" for me and some of my fishin buddies too, my boat's been getting slimed up pretty good. I caught my first 50 and so did one of my buddies, and we've caught more 40 plus inchers this year than any of the past 5 years (which is the extent of my musky career). Gotta love it! The great thing is...we still have great fall musky fishing coming up  08 will go down as the year of giant the muskies. Good Luck, Tim | |||
