Has anyone used a 90hp Mercury Optimax for any significant amount of trolling?

It's not a four stroke, so are there any concerns about fouling after running for hours/days at slow speeds? If so, what can you do about it?
How slow will it turn just above idle?
Does it respond quickly with full power after trolling for a couple hours?
Will I get tired out steering it when trolling a long time with a tiller?

Thanks in advance.

I have put several thousand hours on 90 Merc Opti's, mostly trolling. Please feel free to call me anytime. I'd be glad to give you my take on your question(s) based on my experience with THAT Merc model. Which by the way--have been FLAWLESS in every regard including extensive trolling.
