Question to all.......I caught a Hybrid 50" monster late July of this year in Poplar Grove, IL.....My scale tops out 25 lbs and was wondering if there's a math guru out there that can get me close in relation to how much my muskie weighed at the lengthed mentioned.......I do have a picture posted posted.....This was a catch and release fish  ......thanks | |||

Question to all.......I caught a Hybrid 50" monster late July of this year in Poplar Grove, IL.....My scale tops out 25 lbs and was wondering if there's a math guru out there that can get me close in relation to how much my muskie weighed at the lengthed mentioned.......I do have a picture posted posted.....This was a catch and release fish ......thankshi Dominick, nice fish, looks more like a true muskie to me rather than a hybrid, but it can be tough to tell in pictures. it's a big one either way, congrats! i'll offer the following friendly tips for the next time you catch a muskie: - it's easier for people to believe the fish was released if the picture shows the fish in or near the water; many shore-fishermen take pictures wading or kneeling next to the fish at the water's edge so that this is obvious. - many people believe that holding fish vertically could be harmful to their jaws or internal organs, a hand supporting their belly is much preferred. it might mean not knowing exactly how much it weighs, but many people are more interested in quickly releasing the fish than getting a precise weight anyway. thanks for sharing your catch with us. | |||
