| I had the most epic weekend of my life fishing. I've just started fishing for tiger muskies in utah's pineview reservoir, this being my fourth time out and not bringing in any as of yet, i was getting skeptical..as the day went on , it got to be around 1:00 or so when my friend slammed into a 42" 22 pound musky, it had been chopped on his back by a boat propeller :( About 10 minutes later i was reeling in my rapalla when about 3 feet out i seen a musky come from the depths of below and straight up to slam my lure...my heart stopped lol and the fight was on, fought him hard for about two minutes or so then got him in the boat he was only 39" 24 pounds, but not legal. This was the beginning to a most amazing day! About an hour later my buddie had a musky slam on his lure but it got off, so i started casting out in the general area, this fished slamned my lure so hard i about fell out of the boat lol. This was easily my toughest fight of the day, the fish was 421/2" and weighed 28 pounds, i thought about keeping but i released him [:)] Couple hours go by and it's as hot as it's gonna get middle of the day as we were catching these, quite strange i thought. Then my buddie slammned into another musky that was 41" 25 pounds. We then had no signs of muskies for the next few hours so my buddies rigged up for some bait fishin, when i slammed into another musky, another great fight the fish was about 42" and weighed 25 pounds...I will always remember the day i caught 3 burly fish as long as i live lol [:bigsmile:] I am now hooked on the sport of tiger musky fishin! |
