Hello to all ! I am a F.N.G to Muskie fishing next year I plan on a trip to Minn to try my luck at Muskie fishing but before then I want to learn every thing I can learn about these monsters, the rods and reels and lures used to get them, please forgive me if I ask to many questions about this subject but I am eager to learn

Visit often, read up, and use the 'search' function alot, there's more information on Muskie fishing archived here than you can imagine!

first off get a quality rod and reel and 80 pound plus braided line depends on where your from but your tackle outfitter should know if he dosent call thorne bros they will help with what you should need

yup ... teaching the art of a jig and a leech to the boys this week has been really productive and a ton of fun ... when the musky bite is slow and you're a bit burned out ... there are so many other options that make soooooo much sense!
