Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Hey guys, just checking in here, and wow, what a great group here. Just as an update, dad had surgery Tuesday(While we were at funeral). The full Discectomy fusion took 5 hours. They went in from both front and back, took discs out, put bone grafts, plates rods and screws in and fused. It went very well. He was quite dissoriented till Wednesday. Thursday he really came around and they actually had him up. He is asking to go home, and the docs say it could be ok real soon(possibly within 24 hours). They say he can recover in his own bed, as long as he has near full time care. He can't lift anything but light mail for 6 weeks. We are very thankful for all of the prayers. Looks as though he'll recover physically quite well. The other road will be long, but he has us, and alot of friends to guide him. Thank you!!!!!! Edited by Reef Hawg 8/8/2008 5:38 PM | ||
