How much do you guys believe that expoxy and nail polish, which I use on my bucktails to give them extra strength, smells effect fish? Should i not bother with them and scarafice strength? Thoughts? I can smelll a scent but do the fish care?

I don't think it matters, if you do them rub them with some type of fish oil.

Hi there, I don't think the nail polish or epoxy will bother the fish whatsoever. I have been using nail polish for years in dressing my rear hooks and it never stopped the fish from hitting. Thats just my opinion but thats how I do it. Thanks

i painted up some spoons a few years ago and covered them with nail polish. The pike on LOTW didn't mind at all.

They are muskies, not catfish.
They are ambush predators who feed by sight and sound and opportunity. I doubt that they ever smell what they eat.
