Thinking of purchasing an Abu Garcia C4 Winch for cranking Jakes, Ernies and Granny's. I am using a 6500 C3 now but I don't have the staying power to crank for very long. Is the C4 Winch easier to use on big cranks or am I just a whimp? [:blackeye:]

I have used my C4's for almost two seasons with out any problems. I can crank big hair, big jakes and ernies all day long with half the effort, despite the line capacity it fits better in your hand for less fatigue wich makes sence for me less fatigue and stiffnes the more you stay on the water hence more fish.

Paul,

I use a 6500 TCM with 4 bearings and a power handle. These are special made for muskies! I know Reed''s in Walker MN. has them in stock for $74.95. You can contact them at 1-800-458-1205 ask for Jeff Melcher. Please tell him I sent ya!

Thanks AU, I decided on on the 7000C3.I had it spooled with Cortland Spectron and I picked up the Maina Live Bait/Big Bait (7'2")Rod to put it on. Also added a Bulldawg to the arsenal. Now I am really looking forward to Labor Day week end![:p]
