Alright Everyone, How'd y'all do this weekend in NY?! I'm sure everyone was on the water for this opening weekend after gearing up during the long winter respite, so lets hear the results!

Where'd ya go, whatcha get and how'd ya get it? If ya got skunked, let us know too so you can comiserate with your fellow bretheren

I'm sure we'll see the official Chautauqua tourney results in the forum once everyone's off the lake, but what about the rest of you?

I fished the chautauqua tourney. It was only my second time out on that lake (thank you to those on this board that provided info and advice). I raised 6 fish on saturday: 4 lazy follows from fish ranging between 38-45" and 2 smaller fish that made really aggressive strikes but missed the bait completely. All of my action came on a black shallow dawg. My dad raised one fish near 40" and lost a solid 40+ that hit a DCG. All 8 fish came from the same area (12' deep weed line) over about a 1.5 hour period surrounding moonset.
we fished the rest of the day saturday and all day sunday without seeing a thing.

We had a great time despite not putting any in the boat.

I managed one undersize fish the first day but went out this morning and caught this on my first cast of the day at Chautauqua Lake .

Glad to see those Chautauqua fish!! Havent been on that lake since I was a kid.Dad lives just an hour east of there and maybe I can get up there next year to fish it.

How is the population of fish doing there???
I heard numbers had been down the last few years with disease??

I was in the North Basin just off the Mayville weedline throwing a Latiano Jerkbait . I fished for five more hours and saw four or five more fish but no other takers .
