Just got back from a great trip to Nungesser lake in Canada just North of Red Lake. Great pike and walleye fishing this year. Had a few slow days and two real hot days. Lots of mid 20" walleyes and a crap load of 30"-40" pike. I ran a test on one of my MAG SuperDs this year to see how many fish it could catch before it would fall apart. In about 4 hours of water time for one MAG SuperD I got a 32", 33", 35", 37", 40", 40" and a 45" (7 total) pike and my MAG SuperD is still a fishable lure! I am retiring it though as this is the best I have ever done with one lure on one trip. The 45" was the last one I got and I took a picture of the lure (see below) to show how well it held up. I also had three hits on this lure on the tail and back section. Tough buggers! Got my 45" fish caught while using my head camera too! My buddy got a 48" monster pike on a 5oz Cisco SuperD and my other friend got a fat 42" on a walleye colored 5oz SuperD. Lots of white fish and walleye in the lake so these fish have a lot of food. Great time! If you guys get the chance and like to pike fish take a trip up there. Lots of great lakes with a lot of big fish.

Nice fish and a good testiment to how well your baits hold up. Very cool!

Thanks Joe. I think we all know how well pike can rip a rubber lure up real fast. Not sure how much money I have spent on lure to have hammer handle pike rip em up for me Like watching little dogs chew up your brake wires on your boat trailer! lol Money out the door...

Yes, it is about 400mb big right now so I need to cut it down. Lots of nothing on both sides of the taping. I suck at taping with a head camera too. Learned that on my trip! LOL Need to wear a neck brace while taping

LOL Musky53! I bet we don't see anyone claiming they caught anything out of that lake for a while Nobody will ever believe you if you do.
