Posts: 159 Location: NYC (and many weeks in MN during summer) | Last evening on the History channels tv show "monster quest" discussed fresh water monsters found around the world. Interesting topic. One particular segment dealt with the jawbone of a monster Muskie found lakeside in Wisconsin. The jawbone was taken for a "forensic reproduction", done by the same Minnesota man who created the last Muskie world record replica. It was a bit dissappointing that although he created the replica, they didn't state the dimensions or weight. They did say, though, that this fish was larger than the wr. Anyway, I've been a long time lurker, but this is my first post. A hearty hello to all! RG

Posts: 416 Location: Madtown, WI | I saw that segment as well and lost all respect for the entire program when using the scary voice talking about monsters and showing a video of a 25" pike. The sad thing is, the person I was watching it with swore to never swim in pike infested waters again out of fear of losing a limb.

Posts: 82 | Sounds like somebody needs to take their TV viewing with a grain of salt. You can't believe 90% of what is shown on the boob tube.

Nice to see some viewers from NY.I was born and raised in Western New York in that Town of Olean. What part are you from and what waters do you fish in the area??? I was born in Jersey, but have lived in Manhattan for the last 23 years. I am 42 now. I fish candlewood lake in ct pretty regularly, but no muskies there. My wifes family live in St Louis Park MN, and I visit 4 or 5 times a year. I have a guide/very close friend who I fish with when there. He's out of St Cloud. I usually fish with him for 7 to 10 days at a time. I must have fished a dozen different Muskie lakes last year alone. I'm flying in for the opener June 7th. My disease enabled me to pick up some super cow girls and some MASSIVE Trainwrecks recently that I just can't wait to get wet. Kudos to the best site on the net!!!!! RG
