| The water I fish in my home area is muddy all the time. These fish have to eat and we often accuse them of being blind. I used to think that all orange baits, rattles, and big bladed long bucktails or slow topwater stuff was all that worked. I was wrong. Use your confidence lures, and cover the water more thoroughly than you usually would(the real key). Oranges or whites are a good color choice, as are rattling cranks, but if the fishing pressure is high(like it is here) keep it natural and they will find it.
One color I hardly see people use and that works well in muddy conditions is white, give it a try.
