Posts: 8 Location: Indiana | I would also say the 8" believer. Its the best trolling lure ever made! Lots of nice fish caught on this lure. I already have a huge tackle box just full of believers in every color!

Posts: 137 | Pounder. If I'm only gonna be forced to use one lure without having the ability to change for different conditions on the water, then I'm gonna use the one lure that will give me the best chance of getting some big fish.

Topwater, no doubt. I like to enjoy my fishing experience. Throwing a dbl 10 or a pounder all year? I'd rather get kicked in the groin. I'd rather catch fish on top than any other way, just to fun. Lee Lures water chopper for me. JS

Posts: 620 Location: Seymour, WI | Doug Johnson has a post on here from a few years back where he put a silver and black Mepps Musky killer on a rod from the season opener until close. The lure caught fish of all sizes in every season and every weather condition. It is always the first lure I throw each season and it's a producer. Grass

moral of the story, find a bait you have confidence in that is versatile. you have a better chance of catching a fish with your bait in the water then in the boat being put on and taken off. looking at others post, a double ten, rubber bait (sue/ dawg) and a topwater should get you thru most of the season. Add a glider and grandma for the colder temps. ...but why then do I have hundreds of baits????????

i have way too many too Hoop, we all probably do, but you never know what color, what sound, what size, what shape they want on a given day...hence why we have so many....i find i use less and less as i get more experienced...
