Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I am still looking for some muskies, walleyes, perch, maybe a bass or sturgen for my 265 gallon fish tank. I know Hoffers in Milwaukee will be getting all of that in sometime in May or early June BUT I would love to get them sooner. My tank is up and running with Placo's and some bluegills. I would love to get everything at once. People say it's best because they all freaked out at once and get used to each other after a short time. Adding new fish along the way will have others picking on the new fish becasuse they have established themselves in the tank.
I need help finding where I can get more game fish so they can grow up all at the same time. Does anyone have any advice or options I could check into?
Purchasing undersized game fish for a fish tank is legal with a reciept. Without a reciept any fish under legal size would be illegal to have in your posession.
Getting fish out of state is also a big problem. Getting the permits is crazy. SO, Wisconsin fish only for me.
Can anyone help me get some fish now???????????? |

Call some pet stores in your area. That is where I get all of my fish. As long as they have the permit they need and you keep the receipt, you're good. |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Sir MOJO, Hoffers is the only pet store that has the permits. Joe at Hoffers had to jump through lots of hoops to get all the permits.
My problem is Hoffers has to wait so log to get them. There has got to be somewhere I can but direct from a fish farm. The MN muskie farm was a great place to get them but with this new laws it's crazy. They just said no to me when I talked to them.
I know with this sites vast family of fishermen there will be some advice and options I can check on before waiting until June. |

I got a buddy in town here, 60 minutes north of you that is supposed to be getting some musky in any day. The fish guy he deals with has been telling him they are coming for 3 weeks now. He also peacock bass, can sometimes get sturegon, and does alot of tiger catfish and arrawanas. He also does pike cichlids, belonesox, gars of all types, and basically any other species of fish. I'll PM ya if you want when he gets them in.

| I live in MN and get mine from MN Muskie Farm, so I can't help you out there. I would not recommend putting lg mouth bass in with your other fish though. They will beat on everything else until they're dead, by far the most agressive fish in a tank. Walleyes and muskies get along good though. That's what I currently have and there are no problems. |

Location: Browerville, Minnesota | I would say go to the Minnesota Muskie Farm website and take a look. I thought that they could ship to all over the place. I know that they have many different types of fish. Can get you your fished to you in a day or so. |
