Location: New London, MN | Bought a couple of the 8 inch Manta's today. Never thrown them before but they sure seem to have some small hooks on them. Do you guys switch to a couple bigger hooks ??? |

My Hang ten has some good ones on it. They look like Mustad from the coating on them. These are on an older Manta and are T-ed. They are short shank if that is what you mean. I like a little longer shank myself but with them being T-ed that lets the hook points hang on the outside of the lure which helps with your hook up %.

You don't need that and the way the bait runs, the muskie often hits the bait sideways and almost always get hooked on the front hook. |

I really doubt that going from a 4/0 to a 5/0 is THAT much weight to affect the lure. The last time I check those fish had fins and are able to swim from the bottom to the top of the lake. |

Location: New London, MN | On the package it says to keep the hooks that same size........ just wondering if anyone put 5/0 on them. 4/0 just seems a little to small. |
